Club Officials

CHAIRMAN

Mike Banissy

Ex-Whites Secretary, Mike is renowned for his long and eloquent and really quite long speeches to the committee extolling the virtues of football at Panshanger FC.  Fortunately this is neatly summed up for the rest of us by his motto which quite simply, is "Football is the beautiful game, let`s manage it and play it the beautiful way". And in that we all agree.

VICE-CHAIRMAN

Lee Jones

Lee is Panshanger FC’s No.1 fan and manages the very successful U13’s Lions team. When not running a team Lee has a ferocious appetite for refereeing, matched only by his appetite for cups of tea and bacon rolls from the club kitchen.

TREASURER

Mick Hall

Mick has inherited the club accounts from the MHRML Founder and Honorary President Paul Wren, and his motto is “if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it”. Hopefully in Mick’s more than capable hands the club will be neither.

SECRETARY

Nickola Loft

Thankfully and unlike their male counterparts, all female members on the committee have the ability to multi-task, and Nickola is no different in that she has to wear several hats….and more often than not it’s the one she uses to keep her hair straight. Nickola also deals with all club matters with the league, registrations and our community partners. Representing the face of Panshanger FC, she’s more than a pretty face.

CHILD WELFARE OFFICER

Tina Cooper

Tina’s reputation for working with children precedes her and she is already well known and respected in the area for her child-minding skills and dedication to the WGC Beavers. Fortunately Tina is able to split her time between these various activities and still find time to serve as social secretary for the Curry Dads.

MINUTES SECRETARY

Sam Friedel

Sam has a remarkable attention to detail and a very inquisitive mind, and thanks to her ability to listen to, and to take note of, various multiple conversations all at once we are assured that the minutes of the last meeting may be accepted as a true record.

PITCH SECRETARY

Kerry Reed

Kerry is another unsung hero of the club, providing executive relief to managers and coaches alike by taking care of all pitch allocations and, on occasion, the stress of finding a referee. She also provides catering services in the club kitchen at weekends and has been known to mix a mean martini. Remarkably she also finds time to serve as Secretary on the Herts Girls Football Partnership League.

FUNDRAISING

Mandy Bassett

Mandy’s time at the club pre-dates that of any parent, as she is one of a rare breed who has seen one of her boys progress right through the club from U6 to U18. To most that would be punishment enough but Mandy continues to dedicate her time managing a mini-soccer squad as well as heading up fundraising activities and tournaments.

FA CHARTER STANDARD

Fiona Reed

Maintaining our reputation and commitment to quality with the Herts FA is paramount and this is where Fiona’s administrative skills should be very effective. It’s not all the work of one person however and all managers and coaches are politely reminded that their continued support is required. Please help Fiona (and the club) all you can by completing all necessary courses and certifications as required and attending as many in-service training evenings with the Herts FA as possible.

PRESS OFFICER

Fiona Reed

The well appointed Fiona Reed made an immediate impact in this new role by presenting the club with a £1K donation from GSK’s Making a Difference Scheme, and with her dealings with the local Press, Fiona is already making a difference in raising the profile of the club and that of its members.

KIT / EQUIPMENT

Aaron Lynch / Lee Jones

As well as managing the very successful U13’s Panthers team, Aaron can often be seen heading up the Referees at tournaments, or if not, nearby at the BBQ with Lee consuming copious amounts of tea and bacon rolls. Keen to ensure that Panshanger FC always stands out from the crowd, their choice of kit for this season should not disappoint!

HEAD COACH

Aaron Lynch

Congratulations to Aaron Lynch, U13 Panthers Manager, who was recently appointed to PFC Head Coach. As a Level 3 qualified coach Aaron will be working closely with other PFC Managers and Coaches to offer help and support with training and player development. Aaron can be contacted on 0796 662 1160 if you have any questions for him regarding his new role.

WEB-SITE ADMINISTRATOR

John Cooper

Avid PC gamer and software engineer extraordinaire, John successfully managed to re-programme the Panshanger FC web-site to play Donkey-Kong on his first attempt. His second attempt more accurately reflects the required functionality of a website for a youth football club and like everyone else on the committee, we are very grateful indeed for the time he spends supporting the club.
